Do not forget to have a look at the evening sky this weekend
to see the supermoon, when the full moon will appear a little larger than
usual. A “supermoon” occurs when the full moon for the month coincides with the
moon’s perigree, or its closest approach to Earth for the year. The moon will
reach its fullest state at 7:32 a.m. on June 23. By that time in the morning,
however, the moon will have already set. Therefore, it will appear similar in
fullness and brightness on both Saturday and Sunday.
